THE animist credo has found an excellant spokesman in JULIEN BABINGA's polyrhytmic magic,a veritable living fragment of the musical memory of the ancient realm of KONGO, which, until the XV1 century,grouped Northern ANGOLA, Southern kongo.

BABINGA is a pedagogic rhythmitician and an excellant teacher, dance and percussions as well as african dance.

Following are a few of the strong points of his impressive curriculum vitae: April 4th to july 19,he directed dance and percussion workshops at the community art Studio Auditorium of the University of Michigane,Ann Arbor, USA since 1984,he is given two classes a month at the Anthropplogical School of Zurich,under the direction of Simon.E.SEIGET.
From June til September,1985,he gave an education in rhythm to group of young Canadians,at the Saint Laurent Studio of MONTREAL,CANADA.

From March til the end of May ,1995,he created and animated an African musical comedy,based on" THE LION KING" for DISLAND,PARIS,FRANCE,with his own musical group: WALLA PECUSSIONS. He gives regular classes at the C.I.M. Jazz School, 81 rue de Doudeauville,75018,PARIS, FRANCE
